Need DIY oil catch can advice.
Ok boys im in need if some advice regarding my DIY oil seperator / catch can.
I put the filter in between the passinger side valve cover and the plenum. Did i do this right?
The IN side is toward the valve cover and the OUT side to the plenum. Is this correct?
Finally should i cap the bottom of the seperator? or leave it alone? I ask this because im getting a mild hissing noise.
I did a forum search but the threads i found didn't adress these ?'s thanks..

Cliffyk: Not at this time, but i can assure you that the leak is coming from the bottom of the huskey filter. I can manipulate it by covering the oriface w/ my finger.
Here is a sku # its sold under at home depot. HDA70403AV or
SKU # 401910
Bramas: Ok so if i remove the filter element, what do i replace it with?

The filter is there to cause moisture in the compressed air to condense and drip into the bottle. Oil vapour is much more dense than water, it will likely work better used as a catch-can without the filter.

I don't know what it is about the Huskey seperators but I had 2 of them on that would leak like yours. Switched to the Coleman brand and no problems. And the seperator will work just fine with out the filter element in it.
