Honestly, this is completely a subjective question. O/R pipe will sound quite a bit louder than a catted pipe. Especially with Magnapacks!!!

If LOUD and OBNOXIOUS is what you like, O/R X is definitely the way to go.
If more refined and half-way tollerable is the goal, then catted is the way to go.

I had thought about either Magnapacks or Stingers a couple of months ago, and listened to a local guy's car with Magnapacks and O/R pipe. That immediately convinced me that I did not want either because I was not interested in adding cats just to get straight thru mufflers.

Good luck in your efforts to achieve your goals!!!

Again thanks for the inputs guys. I have decided to go with high flow cats, here is a link off ebay

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2-50-...Q5fAccessories

These seem small enough and im wondering how much they will muffle the sound. I dont want obnoxious exhaust, i live in a fairly quiet neighborhood and dont want to be "that guy"
So the smaller the cat, the more sound goes through im guessing.

thats exactly why I had hi flow cats welded into my o/r x setup bc it was on the obnoxious side and the cats didnt tone it down alot but it made it more tolerable and cleaned the sound up quite a bit. I only kept the o/r setup for 30 days before I picked up some hi flow cats.
