Smoked tail lights...
Im wondering what i should do to get the best quality out of smoking my tailights and corner markers. Hows everyone's experience been with using spray on tint, or is there an alternative that looks much more clean, like actual tint sheets. i saw some on stangmods.com that you can actually cut. I have a 98 mustang and there is no pre cut ones for my year like there are for new edge stangs on american muscle. i appreciate all the suggestions!

I had a new edge and i got the tint off of American muscle. I would tell you to go through and use the spray because you can go as dark or as light as you want. even if you find a tint you will likely not find one that is layered not to mention the fact that unless you do it PERFECT you will end up having bubbles on it. I dont have a lot of experience in the installing things like that but i found it be irritating and time consuming trying to make it perfect

The quality and durability have been great for the 2 years that i've had them now.

I did the VHT nite shade on my new edge. First off, I have 2 pristine sets of original tail lights...
So one set I did about 1.5 even coats, basically a dusting, then a full coat. It looked good but not dark and not even. I also attempted to sand, buff, and polish it...looked good for a few days, then dulled. so I went to my 2nd set, and did 2 full coats, looked good but really, it wasnt even...one side was just a hair darker.
so i sanded and buffed the VHT of my 1st set and layed down 2 coats, being sure to do it smooth and even. This was the trick, turned out excellent.
If you start off with good lenses, prep well, and do it right and dont get too fancy..it is good stuff. Do not put it on your headlights, it will ruin them.
