Ball park estimate of install of 3.73s?

Around here you would pay $350-400 for gears and clutch pack rebuild.
3.73 is a decent upgrade from 3.27, but numerically higher gears will give you even better acceleration. If I were starting from scratch again, I would go with 3.90 gears unless you know you will add boost later. I have had 3.27, 3.73, 3.90, and 4.10 in my car. 4.10 were real nice until I got to where I couldn't run the 1/4 without over-reving 4th gear.
You will like the 3.73 gear, but you may later wish that you had gone a little numerically higher.
NOTE: Don't just find the cheapest guy in town to install your gears!!! Find a shop that has done a lot of gear installs and knows what their doing. A poor install is a BAD thing.
GOOD LUCK and enjoy your new gears!

+1000 talk to whitefox (snoop doug) he will be doing my 4.10s shortly. possibly this weekend, maybe next weekend. he knows his shlt, and id much rather help a friend vs. blowing money on a shop.
