Default painting bullit rims

I'm going to paint my stock bullit rims black. Does anyone have any tips? Especially w the clear coat?

I know that prep is key on it, but more experienced folks should chime in as Im still a noob when it comes to DIY painting.

Are you looking to paint the whole rim black, or just the inner part with a polished lip?

where do you live I have a powder coating shop in north ms and would be willing to do them for you. the powder coating would look better and laster longer to.

I would look around to get them powder coated over painting them, it will look better as well as last much longer. I am sure if you look around you will find one or two places locally.
