Default PI Manifold Swap

Ok. Here's the deal. I'm sitting on a perfectly good PI manifold. I want it on my 96 GT's NPI motor. I have done some research, and I still have questions, and more importantly, I have about a week or two after which my very unique opportunity to get this swap done will disappear. I will not start unless I have these vital questions answered. You dont have to answer all of them, just give me some input.

1. Is this mod even worth it?

2. If it is worth it, what are the tuned power gains, and where along the powerband would I be seeing gains and/or losses?

3. How much power would I be sacrificing by NOT using manifold adapter plates, and just mating the two differently shaped ports together?

4. Where in the hell am I supposed to apply RTV sealant like it says in all of the directions, why do I need to apply it, and how much exactly do I need?

I won't make a move until I get these questions answered. or at least some of them.

***Disclaimer*** Clearly as I have not done this don't take my words to be 100% accurate. Just reposting what I have read over the past 2 months about this. (Also, this is kinda a bump to the top with a second opinion for ya)***

I've been looking at doing this swap too...sounds really nice
1)Can't answer seeing as I haven't done it, much research leads me to believe it is well worth it

2) I've read as much as 15HP, but supposedly it makes the car NOT fall on its face and gasp desperately for air so soon like the nPI does.

3)Didn't know those existed, maybe someone else will have some insight

4)My reading leads me to believe that it goes on the head side of the coolant passage (Where the alum. crossover mates with the head) From the posts I've seen on it 1 good size tube will work

Best of luck to you if you decide to do it......FWIW I think when you compare the ports/coolant passage in the nPI heads to those in the PI manifold it should become quite clear how it has to be rigged.
