Default P0113

Hey guys, i just put a BBK CAI on today and after the install the car was throwing a P0113 code, intake air temperature sensor circuit high. I got the CAI from a buddy and it had a MAF sensor with it so i used it. Do you think the MAF is bad? What would cause it to throw this code? Thanks guys

What year Mustang is the MAF from? If it is from a pre-2002 model then there is no IAT sensor in the MAF, where your 2002 PCM expects it to be.

Before 2002 the IAT was a separate component installed in a grommet in the intake tube--if this is the case then just install your MAF and all should be well..

MAF sensor must have been from a pre 02 model because i switched them out and no codes. The intake tube has a connector on it with some kinda sensor in it. I didnt have a wire to connect there so i take it that is were the IAT sensor is?
