5.0 Magazine did a comparison a while back with a Mach1, Bullitt, and 01 Cobra. They had a great day: Mach 1 did a 13.1, the Bullitt ran a 13.5, and the Cobra was a little slower because it had lowering springs that were messing up the weight distribution out of the hole. The Mach also has a better torque curve than the 32 valve engine in the older Cobras. But yeah, with a good driver, all these cars are capable of running the typical numbers.

I personally do not believe this number at all.

Bah. I used to run 14.6 with my stock (then new) 87 GT -- a stock 99-04 with 35 more horses, more torque and better gearing had BETTER be able to run a lot better than 14.5.....

The ol' B is underrated. They seem to dyno anywhere from 235-245HP, where you see 99-04 GT's anywhere from 215-225RWHP.

Amen brother! If it was winter I would of broke the 13's bone stock with no problem! My 14.3 was in 90* wheather. Track temp was killer...
