its all about the driver, o 03 or 04 cobra with a bad driver and bad tires can pull a 15sec run. a 99-04 gt with a good driver and tire can pull a 14 flat pretty easily. alot of people are like hey, they have more hp's so they have to be at least this many .1 quicker.

I personally do not believe this number at all.

14.5 at best for a stock 99-04 GT.
Bah. I used to run 14.6 with my stock (then new) 87 GT -- a stock 99-04 with 35 more horses, more torque and better gearing had BETTER be able to run a lot better than 14.5.....

What your 87 GT ran has nothing to do with what a 99-04 will do. We are talking factory hp ratings on a heavier car. It is well known that the 225HP quoted for 5.0's was VERY conservative.. while there is evidence to suggest the 260HP rating on 99+ may be a little optimistic.

14.5 at best for a stock 99-04 GT.
Witnessed several 13.8* runs of a 100% stock 04 GT with tire pressure adjustments only.
Are you sure it was 100% stock ?? I don't know man.. sounds like someone tricked you.

Amen brother! If it was winter I would of broke the 13's bone stock with no problem! My 14.3 was in 90* wheather. Track temp was killer...
LOL! If this if that.. come back with a time slip to prove it...

Positive it was 100% stock, my best friend planned to buy my 02 GT, in the end I decided not to sell to him, brought him down to a dealership and set him up with a deal on a 04 GT 5 Speed, 3 weeks later & 1,000 miles on the Odo, he ran 13.9's all night before he finally broke 13.8.

Before his GT, he owned a 350z that he broke 13.9's in, very good driver.

Well I'm surprised... didn't think it was possible. Must have been really good track conditions.

Well maybe I'm just in denial... my otherwise stock '00 with 4.10 gears pulled a best (consistently though) of 14.1's... it couldn't possibly be my driving !!!
