need a little help

I've been saving up some money so I can put together a vortech kit over the winter while my car is stored and hopefully install it in the spring. I've been going off this thread: https://mustangforums.com/forum/pipe...-its-done.html , but can't find any used head units for sale. I've looked on the suggested sites and everywhere else but can't find one anywhere. I'd like to buy the head unit first since I know I can get the other parts for sure whenever its needed. Am I just looking in the wrong places, maybe being impatient in trying to find one??? My budget on a head unit is $800. The car is a 98gt. Any help is greatly apprecaited guys. Thank-you in advance.

Umm why wouldn't it work, if the blower has no shaft play and spins freely with no signs of oil leakage it should be fine, OP check the classifieds on corral.net.

found a couple on corral, thanks uber! will any vortech non-intercooled head unit work with the bracket assembly for my car or will I have to stick strictly with the s-trim? i'm not too worried about buying a worn unit for the right price since they can be rebuilt for a few hundred dollars.

As long as you have the right vortech bracket it should be fine, and rebuilts will cost round 800-900 bucks from the manufacturer.
