Default brake help please.

Hi I have a 96 gt that has the dual piston front calipers off of a 2000 mustang. I have a chance to get a complete set of front and rear brakes of of a 2000 police interceptor that has the 13inch rotots. Would I be able to swap these on to my gt? any help is appreciated.

If the intercepter is the same model/year as your car, it will have the brackets and/or calipers you will need as well.

The only issue is, the rears will do you no almost literally zero good, without some pretty serious additional brake mods. Beyond this, your existing calipers and rotors are just fine, they only need pads, fluid and SS lines at all four corners to stop you EVERY BIT AS WELL as the intercepter of which you speak.

Hit up Jazzers Brakes Upgrade thread and "Read all about it" as they say

Police Interceptor as in Mustang or something like a Crown Vic?
You prolly can use them, the question would be better asked with how much modding? Another thing to think about is your wheel size and spacing,,,

its amazing how some people "over upgrade" the brake system. i saw a v6 the other day with cobra brakes.... sure thats cool, but seriously? pads/SS lines/Fluid are cheap(ish) mods and yield the most "bang for buck". plus they're effortless to install with 0 hassle.

Im not trying to "over upgrade" the brakes. I already have the SS lines and good pads on the car, this is more of a looks thing I want to fill in the rims a bit more. Would the calipers and brackets mount on my 96 or could i use the calipers with cobra brackets?
