Default What do you have to do to prep a aluminum drive shaft?

Got a chance to pick up an aluminum driveshaft for my mach 1. Just courious if there's anything I need to do since it's used.

Such as do I need to get it balanced?
Is there a way to tell which driveshaft it is, like a ford racing or not?

Or anything I should inspect before I install it.

Thanks in advance.

There should be no need to balance it unless it has been damaged in some way--I have seen people get over zealous replacing U-joint bearings in aluminum drive shafts and bend the shaft/yokes.

Markings...

Everything, snout to pinion flange...
