So i need to clean my K&N airfiler..but i cnt for the life of me remove it..i unfastened the metal ring and i cant pull the filter off..i dont remember if there was more too it when i was putting it on..but its just not budging...

That should be it? lol Ive taken mine off 1000000 times and thats all that held it on lol

I had the same problem. Turns out with the 96's and such you have to just kind of maneuver it around. It won't just pop out easily usually.

It should most definitely come out. Just need to move it around a bit.

Don't be afraid to use a little muscle. Mines always tough to get out, but you could try rotating it to break it loose and then it should be easy enough to pull off.
