Default 04 gt build

hey everyone,
so im giving my wife my 04 stock gt and i am buying a termi. we are going to do some stuff to the gt for her so we can both go in crusin the coast. my question is about the engine. she wants to supercharge it and i am looking at a vortech v3 supercharger kit. i know that it needs internal work done first. she only wants around the 500 hp range. so can the lower end be replaced with forged internals only and be ok? or do i need the whole engine built? i know i can get a ford racing engine built for boost for 6k and i havnt put a price on all the parts for a full build but i think the ford racing engine would be cheaper in the long run. any thought?

Are we talking 500 hp at the engine or the wheels? 500 at the motor can easily be done on the stock internals.

500 internal is fine. i just dont want to put a supercharger on it and 5k miles later have a rod thrown. she isnt th etype to put it to the floor everytime she drives. but i dont want to worry every time she does that its going to blow

If you keep it around 400 rwhp it will last a long time with a good tune. I would think she would be very happy and content with that kind of hp, since like you said, she doesn't put it to the floor everytime.

thats what im thinking too. and and good sugestions on underhood dress for show quality? ive been to american muscle and they have some things but not much. it is sonic blue. as will be my termi so will be a good combo to have side by side for the shows. i have never been a over the top crome kind of guy. makes me feel cheezy riced out. but nice brushed aluminum and some crome would be great. also i have seen pictures of billet coolan resevoirs. where do i get those??

but also still wondering about if building the lower half while leaving the upper stock is acceptable.

The connecting rods and pistons are the major weak link on these motors. From what i've seen the crank and trans seem to be a little more stout. My one buddy runs 515 rwhp with the stock trans and crank and has been fine.

As far as interior dress up, i'm not sure of a good place really, as i've kept mine pretty much stock so far.
