Replacement power steering rack (SN95)
First, I searched and didn't find a relevent older post. That said...
My rack is bad. Outer tie rod ends replaced last week. Inners were thought to be bad, but I had it checked today and they are fine, but the rack itself has movement in the internals. So, the rack is bad.
I'm staying with power steering, so flaming river is out. They are super expensive and don't make one for a SN95 with the 4.6, which makes no sense.
I searched online and the choices are mostly remanufactured except this one:
http://www.latemodelrestoration.com/...-Steering-Rack
Anyone know anything about this company/rack?
Thanks in advance.

I have that rack and have no complaints. seems that lock to lock takes less turns on the steering wheel. car drives like a brand new one. Be sure to use a synthetic powersteering fluid in it and get all the old fluid out.

That's what I needed to know. I know the book says Mercon for the PS fluid. What did you use? I'm looking at Royal Purple PS fluid. It's synthetic and will mix with other fluids, if necessary.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.
