I always take out the spare tire and jack. Probably around 35 lbs right there.

Remove the convertible top hydraulics and manually raise/lower the top.

Just remove the convertible top and make it a roadster

Relocating the battery would actually make it heavier. All that would do is redistribute the weight.

best weight reduction to do is rotational mass. aluminum driveshaft, aluminum flywheel, drilled and slotted rotors, and most of all lighter rims. but other weight would be ac delete, remove heater core, abs unit and front and rear bumper supports you can buy or make a chrome moly bar which replaces it and is a lot lighter which is on the outside of the wheelbase and that is where you really want to remove weight after rotational mass. also air bags, cruise control module, wiper motor and washer fluid system, convert to manual steer and go to brakebooster instead of hydro boost. that will remove a lot of weight and another pulley removed to free up power. the list is endless. it all depends on how many comforts you want in it still and how streetable you want it.

Holy crap...
Lets start with, What do you plan to do with this car?
Daily driver, show car, weekend use, track racing events...

There are obviously many answers depending upon what you plan to do with the car, and what budget you have.

A few simple items can help drop some weight without major expense or major comfort issues. After that, a few good items can be removed at the time you plan to run it at the track. MANY more items can be done if budget and comfort allow them.

You need to make an honest assessment of what you want/need the car to do for you, and then decide what items make sense to remove/replace for weight reasons.
