Default H-Pipe removal

Hey since I have access to a welding shop, can I just cut out the H section of the 2002 gt exhaust system and run it straight through to the mufflers and tailpipes since the H section is aft of the cats...will it help...hinder or what ???

You can, but i don't see the point. It's better to have some sort of a cross over in the system.

You just want it louder? Have them replace the rear most cats with a straight pipe. Or just buy a used aftermarket midpipe.
