Navigator motor in my stang?
Ok I want to put a blown navigator motor into my mustang. What is the difference in the wiriring harness? Will it work. Also what years if any had 32v heads? Can I swap the coil over plug firing system for a similar coil -wire- plug setup, like on my mustang now. I dont like the coil over plug setup, my mother has it on her expedition, and it has been a piece of shizil. It blew out a plug and we had to pull the head and put a hela coil in it to fix it, not to mention the pain in the *** it is to just change plugs. Also does the navi engine have the six bolt main setup with a forged crank like the cobra? I will rebuild this motor to strengthen it, but I want 700+ horse power so I want to know if it can handle it or will I be better off using a cobra 4.6 motor. I want the tork of the 5.4. And lastly how big of a cowl hood is needed. I need to know the hight because I will modify my K member and use a dry sump set up to lower the motor, my goal is to leave the factory hood on my car, as I do not want anyone to know want the car will realy be made of. Even if you can only answer one of these questions you will help me, I just want the best!

RE: Navigator motor in my stang?
I currently have a 5.4 out of an expedetion, and forging it. I have 2v heads for it, but am currently looking for 4v heads. The height of the block isn't really the problem as much as the extra height of the intake manifold. If you were to get an adapter, and use the 4.6 manifold then it wouldn't be as bad. I know that the 2001 & 2002 navigators had 4v heads. You can look on http://www.car-parts.com... Good luck in your project. I will be hopefully putting mine in around december.
