questions about my new 02 GT

Check fuel, tune up (plugs, fuel filter, clean maf). My car always started up a little rough when I first got it, but I did a tune up on it and it started up pretty well after that.
If you have $500 just fix your car first then work from there. You can buy a mod, but if your car isn't working it won't be too useful.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure my seat belt reminder dinged.
There was a whole procedure for disabling it. Something like turning the key on and off 4 or 5 times while running the windows up and down then pushing the eject button on the cd player
or something like that.

Stock is 3.27:1
Available popular ratios are 3.73, 3.90, and 4.10
All of which will hurt fuel mileage, raise cruising rpms, and lower available top speed. Thats the idea with lower rear gears, they take some top speed, raise cruising engine speeds across the board, and you take a hit in fuel economy, for the gain of improved off the line acceleration, and acceleration fro ma roll.
With 4:10s, expect 80mph to be at around 2800 rpms in top gear.
With 3.73's, around 2600
With 3.55's around 2350
And stock 3.27's will put you right around 2100ish.
Tire circumference also plays a role in engine speed, you could see 3K with a shorter tire and 4.10's...

TOMMY that is great info! But that gives me a problem - I just got an 01 GT last month (entirely stock from what I'm TOLD). But at 2100 RPM I'm only doing 70 mph, at 2700 or so is when I'm going 80. I asked him when viewing the car but he said everything was stock.
