fuel filter and fuel pump would be the first thing that i would change. what year is your car, and how many miles.

Fuel pump?? Ummmm no. Fuel filter maybe, check the air filter and the MAF. Could also be that your spark plugs are worn. Could also be a bad coil that is over heating and not producing a good spark in a particular cylinder.

If it happens ONLY after the car is warm (20 min should do more than enough), then it's a problem with the car that the COMPUTER only realizes after it's done a full diagnostic cycle. It CAN'T be a fuel pump or fuel filter, as these are mechanical blockage, and it wouldn't matter if the car was warm or not.

I'd check those things that can stall the car only after the computer detects the fault: Mass Air Filter sensor, EGR, idle air controler valve, Oxygen Sensor so damaged it sends worse signals than not having it, etc.

Do you have a "Check Engine Light" on? This should definitely tell you what the problem is. At least, you should be happy to know that if it only happens after the car warms up, it is easily fixed, once you find out what it is.

Same goes for the spark plugs, cables and coil--can't be them--remember that the problem happens after the car is on about an hour. Computer diagnostic cycle is a bit less.

I wonder if it could be a bad IAT sensor. That would explain the warm-up time, I think.
