I am so excited. I just fixed a problem I had been having on my 2001 GT Conv. The top was not going up anymore and it would go down super fast. I FINALLY go the bottom section of my seat out and then it was gravy from there. Refilled the motor with Merc 3 transmission fluid. Capped it. Then worked like new. It sure was a chore trying to figure out how to get the fluid into the hole without making a mess of everything.

was yours going up unevenly before hand or did it just quit......one side seems to be stronger on mine

I had one side that would start up, then the other would catch up, then it would take forever for it to go up. It would go down super-fast.

did you get the "fix" info from this site.....about how to diagnose low fluid vs bad motor, etc....or did you just guess right.....I am def experiencing similar symptoms....and want to cure this soon...
