Default Clutch release bearing question.

I have a 2001 GT and I am installing a new clutch after only a few thousand miles. Ever since I installed it a few months ago the throwout bearing has been making a noise when the clutch wasn't pushed in. I tried a firewall adjuster but it didn't help. The clutch grabbed perfectly maybe a little high but I was happy with it except the noise. So I ordered a new Exedy clutch, new Ford clutch fork, new Ford Racing Throwout bearing and Ford Racing pilot bearing and a new Ford clutch cable. My question is why do these throwout bearings have a bump on them where they slide into the clutch fork? Does it have to be facing a certain way? Probably a stupid question but I don't want a premature failure again. I can take a pic if it helps.

It is to keep the back end of the TOB from rotating in the release lever--doesn't matter how it is inserted into the lever, it will just turn "so far" first time it turns at all...

Thanks man, I just wanted to make sure it didn't need to be in there a certain way.
