Shifter vibration/pulsing seems to be getting worse
I had a related post a few months ago, but here are some updates...I'm getting pulsing through the shifter of my 2004 Mustang GT. A few months ago it was only in 3rd gear on deceleration. A few thousand miles later and I'm getting this pulsing on acceleration and deceleration, in 3rd and 4th. The pulsing is in-line with vehicle speed and not engine speed. In 3rd gear on deceleration, I can push up on the shifter and get the pulsing to stop.
Further, I'm noticing vibrations in the steering wheel, specifically in 5th gear going 60-70mph.
If I push the clutch pedal in, the shifter pulses and the steering wheel vibrations stop. Nothing seems too severe yet, but it is more noticeable than before. Also, I just got a Ford Racing aluminum driveshaft, hoping it would cure this issue. It had no effect, positive or negative.
Does anyone have any thoughts? Could a bent input shaft cause this? Unbalanced flywheel? Motor mounts or trans mounts? Appreciate any thoughts/ideas/knowledge.
Lastly, here's what I have : MGW short throw shifter, Ford Racing Al DS, Flowmaster catback exhaust, Ford Racing-C lowering springs. New brake pads and rotors.

maybe check pinion angle? did a solid rear swap in my bro's termie and was having similiar issues, got the pinion angle fixed and the car rides like a dream. no more annoying noises and vibrations from the shifter.

yeah, lowering it can change angle. imagine it as a driveshaft angle to pinion angle ratio. as your regular ride height goes down, your driveshaft angle lessons, cuz your axle is rising. not saying this is the problem, but its worth checking out.

Uberstang and 01gtconvertible, thanks for your input, it is much appreciated. I'll be checking into the mounts and the pinion angle next chance I get, next weekend hopefully. Next would be rack bushings. Thanks again.

I had a similar issue with my 02 gt with the shifter vibrating. Turns out I had a misfire in one of my cylinders, and when I fixed the miss, the vibrations stopped, so check to make sure that isn't the issue.
As for the steering wheel, check to make sure your alignment is good
