96 GT Wont Rev, Need help
Ok so last week i bought a 96gt. Nice car, full cobra body kit and cobra r wheels. Only thing is its a 2v so here we go.
Test drove fine . No problems. Drove it all the way home no problems. The next day i go to really get on it and it stops reving at 4500 rpm. Then it gets worse starts doing it anytime i push the throttle more than idle. The guy I purchased it from has the paperwork were he just replaced the fuel pump. So i want to assume thats not the problem (key word assume).
Today i replaced the TPS, Fuel filter, fuel Pressure regulator and the problem is still there.
I went to Harbor Freight bought the fuel pressure gauge. The fuel pressure is 32 with the hose connected on the top, and 38 with it disconnected which is from the research ive done is normal .
If I crank it up, it runs fine for the first 30 seconds, then it feels like its starved for fuel.
Ive checked the plugs there fine. I cleaned the MAF sensor so that takes care of that.
Other than that i checked the codes and the are as follows:
P0605-internal control module read only memory (rom) error
P1127-Exhaust Not Warm Enough, Downstream Sensor Not Tested (car was hot, was running for half hour)
P1260-theft detected vehicle immobilized(car cranks up and runs fine for a while- pretty sure this is not relatated with problem.
anyway please help what do you guys think!

The PATS type A system in your car will allow the engine to start, and then kill the fuel pump after 1 second if a non-programmed key is used to start the car (or there is some other PATS issue). There could be enough fuel pressure for it to run for 30 seconds then starve out.
The P0605 code means that a custom tune has been flashed and the VID block was not properly set (this is not unusual and should not create any problems).
The cold exhaust DTC (P1127) could be that the downstream O2 sensor heaters are not being powered, or that they were turned off in the tune but the DTC was not blocked, or that they are bad (or not there).
The 4500 RPM limit sounds like the PCM is running in FMEM (Failure Mode Effects Management), the so-called "limp" mode because of failure of one or more necessary sensors (the cold exhaust could be a cause).
