Default clutch and trans question

How do you know it you blew the clutch or trans. I have a 03GT at the track today during my last run the car hooked well I hit first ,second and when I hit third the car did a nose dive and it was flat bed time. I have no mpedal pressure and hear a rattling in the bell housing.

Sounds like your throwout bearing somehow broke off. That or your clutch fork (pivot fork, or whatever it is called) came loose, or pressure plate fingers broke off. I guess I'm trying to say it could be many things. Does it sound like a metallic rattling?

The clucth blew apart the only thing left was the center piece, and all the fingers were gone on the pressure plate. But the spec was a good investment well worth the money.
