leaking oil like a sive, whats this part called.

so the car is dumping oil like crazy when running. Where the oil filter mounts, whats that piece called?

I assume theres a gasket behind it because it looks like it bolts to the block. Thanks.

Usually refered to as the oil cooler or oil filter housing. It uses an o-ring type seal

it is the adapter plate. I broke one on my ex wife's 96 GT when i put a new motor in her car. They're somewhat fragile..it cracked while I was installing the oil pressure sending unit!

You need to determine it's the gasket and not the housing itself...but yes that looks like the correct gasket. Make sure you don't torque on it too hard while reinstalling
