Default Running a little hot, need some help

Okay so I have an 04 GT and well from what I think, it runs hot. When it's fully warmed up the gauge reads 3/4 of the way. I know a lot of people say these are just dummy gauges, I don't really know. But I have a predator tuner and its on the 87 gas tune right now. I've seen that you can adjust the fan speeds on it, but I am somewhat of a noob and I don't even know if that will cool it down any. If it will, can someone tell me what to change it to? I know also a new thermostat will do this but I don't have any money really to spend.

Thank you guys in advance!

Unless it's only running hot at low speeds or when stopped changing the fan speed will do nothing and only very little at low speeds and stopped--the fan does not run at speeds over 35.

The most likely cause is a clogged radiator, from never having the coolant flushed, or a failing thermostat. A new thermostat is only $10 to $12...

I was having the same problem a few months ago. A new radiator solved it. These radiators are only a single row and a little clogging goes a long way to impede proper cooling. My car runs nice and cool now.

It is also that they are 7 to 15 years old, and very few if any original (or subsequent) owners actually have the cooling system flushed every 4-5 years like they should...
