Bad Knock Sensor?

I am looking at a car guy says knock sensor is bad so it is causing the car to knock on start up and sometimes on acceleration. Oil pressure is normal and doesn't drop. He swears its just a bad knock sensor. Is that possible

What kind of a car are we talkig about cause gt's dont have knock sensors.

Maybe a crank sensor its a 03 gt
