It's a cast aluminum version of the stock intake--they are all over eBay...

A fellow named David Ogilvy said, at a seminar I attended years ago, "Any time a pretty girl is used in an advertisement it is because the product itself is bland and boring."

This may not be the exact quote, but it's close...

Mea Culpa...

I had a chance to spend more on their site and must retract my earlier dismissal of the product. Unlike the eBay clones I've seen it does appear to be cast of high quality virgin aluminum, and has been redesigned to move the powerband up a bit (which may or may not affect DD use).

One other thing I will give them credit for is that they know how to properly finish ports:

Polished flow surfaces are old hat, left from a time when tuners took a purely intuitive (and incorrect) approach to porting ("and polishing"). Contrary to intuition is that pebbled surface finishes provide better air flow than polished surfaces--that's why golf ***** have dimples, they'd fly half as far without them.

What happens is that the dimpled/pebbled surface creates a turbulent boundary layer that lessens that surface's drag on the main mass of the flow--it (the turbulent layer) behaves much like ball bearings on a non-powered conveyor, letting the moving object move along freely.

$645 isn't cheap (like the $250 POS' on eBay), but it's in the same ball park as other quality manifolds--if I were running FI with a centrifugal blower or turbo I'd give it a serious look.

N/a I would expect it to be like the others, not really worth it unless you have also done something to make the 2V breath better (I.e. heads and cams)...

Does the girl come with the manifold? I think it's silly that people use hot women to advertise any car parts. They don't give a crap about car parts. Hell, if you were dating them, they'd probably resent all the money you spend on the car.

If she does I'll order half-a-dozen right now...

I am not surprised, once I did more than just redirect my eyes to look at the photo of the manifold in the online ad copy, it was refreshing to see a vendor that is not afraid to show me what's inside--and that really understands porting...

I think this intake and some long tube headers ( kooks 1 and 3/4) and some cams would give me about 30 rwhp. I might just order all this with my tax refund. What cams would you all suggest? Im thinking trick flow stg 1 or 2 s if i have the clearence.
