Thumbs down 4.6 sounds like the cams are lopping?

So when i bought my 98 stang the guy said the idle sounds weird and kinda like a helicopter. My buddy that has done work on my previous cars said the idle sounds weird too. He said he thinks the timing is off. I'm not really sure how to describe it other then a like lopping cam. The guy that had it before me bought the 4.6 out of a limo and rebuilt the motor because it had a blown engine. The car runs really good its straight piped and im just worried about the way it sounds. nothing leaks or squeaks. Just a helicopter like sound. Ill post a video of it for you guys. you can also hear the kind of noise it makes at idle when you start to accelerate.

I'd guess it's because you have no mufflers you are hearing a lot more engine noise through the exhaust pipes.

Absolutely normal. It's your lack of mufflers as stated above
