You can go fast with either a turbo or supercharger. Turbos are more efficient, don't eat belts and require less boost to hit desired power levels. They tend to be more expensive. You can spend a lot of money on superchargers but for lower power levels you can supercharge your car for $2000-2500, which you'd be extremely hard pressed to do that with a turbo.

I like turbos. If money was no concern I wouldn't even think about centri style blowers. If you took all the undesirable characteristics of turbos and roots style blowers, you'd find them in the centris.

so your saying i should buy some bad *** turbo or supercharger and build around that?
