that seems like the only thing that may make sense

i have a 3.90 pulley on there now... do i risk going smaller to make more power on stock motor or should i just keep as is?

^ keep it as is till you forge the motor, your close to what people say is the limit now as is. And for your cams call bullet racing cams and get them to grind you a custom grind cam, they are still the same price as off the shelf cams and you get more performance out of em then

Just trying to understand how this all works...
Boost is boost...

D1sc with the same size pulley as the p1sc makes more boost.. soo lets say a p1sc has a 3.9 pulley. The D1sc can make the same boost with a 4" plus pulley. D1sc has different internals, Spools up faster.

If the D1sc and P1sc both make 8lbs of boost.. Boost is Boost.. There is just alot more room for growth on the D1sc..

The only true test is the track... Get to it!!!

That is the way I was envisioning it... boost is boost.
So I was lost on why 8# boost on one car would make a ton more power than 10# boost on another car???

Only thing I heard that made a little sense to me, but I still wasn't buying the entire difference, was the idea that one unit takes more power to spin it. Thus the parasitic loss would be greater on one unit. I can't imagine that alone explains the large difference in output.
