New GT Owner - ebrake loose
Hello everyone,
I picked up my first Mustang this morning. I bought a 99GT and I love it! I did notice one issue with the car, and I wanted to ask the experts.
When I pulled into my driveway this morning, I pulled the emergency brake and noticed that it was not holding the car in place. My driveway is on a little bit of an incline, so I pulled it just a bit harder to make sure I had it engaged. With just the emergency brake, the call rolls backwards very slowly... so to park it, I just threw the car in 1st gear after I pulled the ebrake.
Although what I am doing works, I'd really like to fix the ebrake so it could technically hold the car on its own. I don't want the transmission to have to do any extra work.
What should I do?
Thanks,
Clayton
