Default Steering column question

My steering wheel "creaks" and has sort of a spring sound to it when i turn it, you are also able to move the steering wheel up and down, and side to side about 1/4 of an inch. Well the car has been laid up for the winter so I decided to dig into it finally last night. I took a video of the shaft actually moving inside the column. I tried to see if anything moved farther down past the column and everything seems solid. Its only up top where the steering wheel mounts. I had another member tell me to check the tilt mechanism to see if that was loose, but it feels solid and nothing else moves. Is there a bushing inside that I can replace? Or is it time for a new column?
