Default Thread size on MGW short throw shifter??

I just ordered an MGW short throw shifter for my Tremec 3650 and I'm wondering what size threads this uses for the shift ****?? 12x1.25 or 12x1.75???

I'm assuming it's the 12x1.25 because I have seen these shifters with stock GT shift *****, but MGW doesn't specifically say anywhere and I can't find the info by searching. I hate to order a shift **** without knowing for certain. thanks in advance!!

Im pretty sure its 12 x1.25. The stock shifter does fit on there. Just got my shifter in this week!

It is M12 x 1.75, standard ISO 12 mm coarse thread--which is the same as the stock shift lever...

so, if I have this figured out now, it's the 2005 and newer mustangs that use the 12mm fine threads and the 2004 and earlier use the coarse threads?

That is correct, '05 through '11 have a M12 x 1.25 extrafine thread on the lever.

Note: The International Organisation for Standarisation (ISO) standard defines 3 or even 4 levels of "fine" metric thread for some diameters. For example, for 12 mm fasteners fine = 1.5 mm pitch, extrafine = 1.25 mm; and there are a couple of superfine pitches 1.00 mm, and 0.075 mm.

I have an MGW too, it uses whatever the stock one is; I think they're all universal. Cripes, I have 4-5 shifter handles, they all just screwed on.

I already ordered everything - I think I got the thread size figured out right. I guess I'll know for sure when my shifter and **** get here. Of course, I also ordered a few minor accessories to go with the new shifter: MGW inner dust boot, FRPP 4.10 gears, etc.
