Default 2.5" lowering springs. Should I give em a try

Right now I have eibach pro kit springs on my car. I have 18" bullit rims. People seem to always mention my car could stand to be a little lower. I think it could too.. I found these springs on ebay for $85 dollars and says will lower front and rear 2.5 inches. http://www.ebay.com/itm/330660371446...84.m1423.l2649
Just wondering if anyone else has tried some of these. If so post a pic. Id like to see how a 99-04 stang looks with a 2.5" drop.

A 2.5" drop will leave you with almost NO suspension travel to absorb bumps. Additionally, you would need a pretty stiff spring rate with that much drop to prevent hitting the bumpstops ALL THE TIME. I doubt that any spring that sells for $85 has had enough R&D done on it. You would also need a set of pretty firm struts/shocks to go with springs that are that high in rate.

Bottom line... I think I would avoid them.
Good luck with whatever you decide to do!

I feel you. I really dont want to go that route. Cause I already know you normally get what you pay for. lol... With that being said what should I do to get my car just a little bit lower? Should I cut a half a coil off of my eibach pro kit springs? or should I buy some H&R super sport springs.. (I hear they lower your car the most)

Your best bet, in my opinion, would be to go with the Sportlines.

Sportlines when I had my 18s.

I've been doing a little research. And I believe the H&R Super sports are like a 1.7 and 1.5 drop... or in that range... Ive read on another site that the safest and lowest spring is made by Intrax.. anyone ever heard of Intrax? says they are a 2 inch drop front and rear.. http://www.myhotmustang.com/Intrax/L....1.006/557700/

I think the sportline or super sports is the lowest i would go without switching to coilovers.
With coilovers you can play with your ride height as much as you want. I plan on going coilovers when i get the money

from your judgement/opinion do you think the super sports would be a noticeable difference in height compared to the picture i posted up top?
