Need help with my Clutch on my 01 Cobra
I'm looking for any help or advice to what I should do with my situation. I have a 2001 Cobra. It only has 30,000 miles on it and i'm having trouble with my clutch. Its not catching until its almost let all the way out. I have about 3/4"-1" of play once it catches to when its let all the way out. I've tried to adjust it by the firewall adjuster and I have also tried to adjust it by pulling the pedal back and trying to ratchet the quadrant, Neither of which have worked. It is not slipping when i'm on the gas or when I go to shift gears. So my question is, is it the cable just being stretched so much this fast or is the clutch going out already due to the previous owner beating on it? If it is the clutch that needs to be replaced, and anyone could give some information on what kind of clutch i should buy it would be helpful and much appreciated. This is what i have on my car. K.N. filter, JBA Headers, Bassani X exhaust system, Ford racing mufflers, Denso spark plugs,Eibach springs front lowered 1.2" rear lowereed 1", Accufab Throttle body w/ true flow pipe MAF, grerolelli COP 60,000 volts, Underdrive pulleys, water pumps, vibration damper, Aluminum drive shaft, Harmonic balancer. If you can help me out or have any recommendations it will be much appreciated thanks.
