I have the same tires for now but in 315's. They dont grab real well I can break them lose in third gear. Ive had them on the car for the last two or three summers. They dont rub either no spacers and its lowered.

If you are running 8lbs of boost, I shouldn't have a problem. I also have 315's on the way. I'm basically stock. Although, with my stock BFG's on an 8in wheel, I can light them up in 2nd, decent chirp in 3rd.

I'm at least expecting as good of traction as my current BFG G-Force Sports in the factory 245/45/17. Real easy to break them loose though. However, I basically puppy my car most of the time. It's not fast and usually don't drive it like it is.

One question I forgot to ask. Will the 315/35/17 throw off my speedo compared to the factory sized 245/45/17?

I have 315-35-17 Nittos on the rear of my 97 Cobra.(bought fr500 and Nittos from AM)

Did have a slight issue with exhaust rub but wasnt a big deal(easy fix).

I have the Summis on my GT and theyre just awful for grip.
Do not use these tires if you plan on Drag Racing at all.
You will just lose tons of traction.

I myself after experience with Summis went with Nittos for the few extra dollars and couldnt be happier .

Nittos grip way better .

When you state "easy fix", could you be a little more specific on what exactly you had to do? Thanks.

I had a small rub on pass side exhaust pipe to back side of tire.( just rebent tail pipe) wheels spacer would have worked but I dont feel safe with them.(last thing you want to do is lose a wheel on drag strip) Ouch !!!

You wouldnt have that problem on your New edge Mustang where it has a wider axle over the SN95 .

I tried my wheels you see on my Cobra below on my 99 GT (new edge) and they fit perfect (no rubs at all) with Nitto 315s.

Summis may come alittle wider over Nittos...Not really sure where my Summis where 275-40-17 on my GT in picture not 315s.

With experience on both tire bands Id get the Nittos from AM over the Summis...Its worth the extra traction with these cars
