01 Cobra - 03/04 Super Charger Upgrade
I am wondering what parts are needed and what is involved. If someone who has done one or for sure knows I'd appreciate your input. I am looking at an 01 and there are a lot of stock super chargers floating around out there really cheap...
I mean, would stock or aftermarket 01 TB, Mass Air, etc work? I am guessing is it going to need different brackets, etc. But does anyone know what part numbers? Most of the SC engines are being sold complete so getting parts might end up with a run to the parts department.

The blowers are fairly cheap... but you need the top third of the motor: lower intake to airfilter, all the intercooler/HX lines and related parts and a few misc upgrades. Just make sure you know what you are getting into before thinking it's cheap.

Thanks for the input guys...
Dragul - I thought all Cobra's had at least forged cranks. I know Rods and Pistons are another story.
I am trying to determine if it is a Teksid or WAP block at the moment. I don't know the manufacture date of the car at the moment and haven't actually looked. But either way it SHOULD hold what I want. I am looking for a target of 425 rwhp. Anything in the 400-450 range will do. I believe when I hear that magic 500 hp number on a stock motor that people are usually referring to rwhp. If not, I will probably back down a little to a 400 rwhp goal.
There are a lot of inexpensive kits now. I don't mind a used one in good shape. The Vortechs in particular are cheap used. Is there any particular reason? I mean I suppose it is because there is less to them. But they are also not as popular as they used to be in the good ole push rod 302 days.
