Default Thinking about a terminator. But first I need some help.

I'm considering building a terminator copy from the ground up. But I know that has a lot more power then my GT. So what kind of suspension mods should I think about getting? Also should I consider changing the transmission or will the GT automatic be able to handle it? Don't try and talk me out of it. This is one of those bucket list things.

I'm using this car for the drag strip.

Well what kind of budget do we have to work with and by terminator copy do you mean everything as in motor, body parts, gauges, what exactly. I won't talk you out of it I think it's cool lol

Just a throw at it around $10,000 more if I have to. It will get done. I'm planning on sharing the experience with the forum(pics, dyno readings, problems, etc.).

This is a confusing post... you're not really specifing much.... if you are talking a full drivetrain swap, your tranny will not bolt up to the motor found in 03/04 cobras... if you want a copy get a 31 spline Independent rear... which is in the 03/04 cobras... you're gonna end up spending more money turning your car into a cobra than just buying one.

Just buy a cobra, and swap an auto in. It has been done many times, and will cost you far less than what you want to do.

^ what he said... and not to mention a Cobra will be worth $10k more than a GT made to look like a cobra even if it's a copy....

Even tho my post was confusing you answered a few of my questions. 31 spline Independent rear sounds like a good place to start. And I am well aware of the fact that buying a cobra would be easier. I want a car that will enable me to say " I built this car from the ground up". I think what might be confusing people is I said " Terminator copy". But what I mean is an upgraded Terminator. Or lets just say building an engine with the same block and upgrading everything else.

Yeah I might be changing my mind and rebuilding my 2v. All I really want to do is rebuild my motor. I figured I world go with a 4v build but not after reading this forum. Check it out. http://www.stangnet.com/mustang-foru...-valve.780361/
