Default Parking Brake Mod

Hey y'all! Just thinking around here. My 2000 GT hand brake feels harder to pull than my brothers 02 GT. Almost like its more sensitive/responsive in his car. I'm looking to be able to lock up the rear wheels with the handbrake. Just wondering if there's a kit out there that allows me to do this. Or just a way to set it to be more responsive. Thanks y'all.

It's exactly the same mechanism, so yours is either not well lubricated or otherwise failing.

BTW, it is a "parking brake", intended to prevent the car from rolling down hills only--does it not do that?

if you want something like what the drift guys use, thats a separate lever-actuated master cyl that only goes to the rears...

little bit more complicated than tightening up the cables lol

Guess I'll bump this thread. lol. All the 99-mid 01s I've driven always have a (what seems to me) tougher tension on the hand brake action. 01-04s seem to have an easier tension that allows for easier actuation. I may be going crazy but thats what it feels like. Guess I better start lifting weights I guess? lol
