Default Fog Light HID's

Ok, I got my HID's installed for my headlights and they look amazing. I am currently trying to install some in my fog lights and am a little stumped. How do I go about wiring it? Do I have to use the factory harness and if so, then how?? I can't figure out how to get power to them. The HID bulbs have two wires with metal ends that I can't figure out what to do with. Someone please help me.

I replied to this in the other thread. Did you get a kit or just bulbs? What kit did you get? Link?

It's a plug in play type instal. It's not like the main headlights where you needed a power supply. The kit i got was just male pins that you stick into the existing wiring harness that connects to the light bulb then I taped them with electrical tape. My car's fogs gets its current from the main headlights so there was no need for a power source or ground connection.

do you have a picture? Because HID bulbs need a ballast. Kinda what makes them so bright.

I don't. I would but its raining out and don't have a garage. So the ballast connects to the existing wiring harness for the foglights. It goes as follows; existing wiring harness for the fog lights>ballast>foglamp>foglamp housing. As I said all I did was tape the connection so water wont get in.

Take wiring harness from the stock foglight connection and hook it into the ballast. Put HID foglight bulb into the foglight housing. Put the 2 connectors from the HID bulb into the other 2 connectors from the ballast. Use the 2 male connectors with the metal ends from the HID bulb and hook them back into the leftover harness.

Whether you hook the 2 metal connectors back into the HID bulb connector or back into the stock foglight harness, it's not going to matter if that's what you are asking.

The metal ends can connect to whichever connector you want. When I installed mine, I accidentally installed one light with the metal connectors running to my stock harness and one light with the metal connectors running to the same connection on the HID bulb. They fired right up and I didn't notice it until i changed my bulbs out for a color change. So there is no way to mess it up, really.
