Default 3.73 , 4.10 gears

Got some good opinions from you guys on where to start on my mustang performance wise. Now my question is on a set of gears. What are the differences or lets say pro's and con's between 3.73 gears and 4.10s. I don't do much driving on the highway unless im going to the lake to do some cruising thru the mountains. Once its paid off however it will probably not be my daily driver anymore and im going to try to get it supercharged. Basically need more info on the differences and what would be better for a supercharged setup. Thanks!

If its not your Daily Driver its better to go 4:10s. You will Be running higher RPM on the highway but u will get better results at the drag strip with 410s. I went with 3.73 because I drive my car to school everyday and wanted to have a car a lil cheaper on gas then what 4:10s offer. This is just my opinion.

I think most will say 4.10's are too much for a supercharged application. 3.73's will be your best bet. Somebody that is supercharged will have to explain why. I'm N/A. If the supercharger will be a fairly long time off, go 4.10's.

Don't fear the gears.

I went 4.10's here recently.. I love them. Granted 99% of my driving is 2 miles one way, but even so its not bad.. On the highway doing 70 I was at like 2300 rpm.. its not as bad as some people portray it to be. As for gas millage you wont see any decrease around town.. you just have to shift sooner.. big deal don't be a lazy ***.. but on the highway you will probably loose 1-2 miles per gallon. And in the end you will love them. biggest Seat of the pants Ive had so far.
Like he^^ said.. Dont fear the gear.

Depending on if you go to the track or not if you go 4.10s and a supercharger you will most likely run out of gear. I personally love my 4.10s and vortech, and I don't really go to the track so it works for me

Thanks for all the input guys! If anyone has any other opinions on the matter please let me know but it looks like i might be leaning towards the 4.10's. Next question would be on difficultly of the install?

if you have no experience in rears, i wouldnt even try it. I've never tried it and don't really know much about them but every gear thread ive read (which is about a million now) everyone says take it to a reputable shop
