Default transmission

hello, i know most mustang owners who swap transmissions do the auto to manual swap well i want just the opposite manual to auto so has anyone done this or know how to do it? i would like to know what auto transmission i can use and what other parts i would need? any info would be appreciated. oh i have a 98 gt and i am also thinking about getting the pi heads and intake too.

I think for the transmission swap you need the trans harness, ECM out of an auto 98 GT, the auto shifter, and console bezel. Maybe a new driveshaft, not sure on that. Someone who know alot more should be able to throw in there knowledge soon enough.

Edit: And the auto tranny obviously.

I don't want to sound like an *** hat here, but, you might want to use the search function as this topic has been discussed at length time and time again which is more than likely the reason for the lack of responses.

I don't have any better of an answer than the other poster, but check out the auto to manual conversion bit and just reverse all of the parts needed?
