Good to know. Im adding a procharger this year so maybe ill just go with the 75mm. Although I doubt that the 78mm could have a negative affect on it.

I called SUmmit about the 78 mm TB and they said to go with a 70, and that the 78 is too much for a car that dosent have a Super Charger or a Turbo... can anyone tell me any different ? I read the customer reviews on AM and for the most part they all loved it.... And with that, will the TB make it sound better?

1st off what mods do you have?? If you have very minimal mods then I totally agree with Summit. If you plan on (and the near future) going FI, I would suggest the 75MM TB setup.

Be very careful about falling into the bigger is better theory(in TB anyway).

Often times, guys get the placebo effect. The actual results as measured by a dyno or trap speed often don't prove out what guys think has been a noticeable improvement. The initial tip in with the large TB is greater, but the actual power made is not more.

I'd go with 75mm and never look back.
GOOD LUCK!

well im planning to heavily modify it over the course of like 2 months, so I might as well save the time of having to change it and go for the 78mm, thanks

I have a 75 mm on my ride and it runs great. Spinning all through 1 st gear at the track i trapped 83 plus mph in the 1/8 with a 8.47 et and a super slow 1.95 60 foot. The stock tb is 68 mm so going with a 70 mm would be silly i think.' And that 68 mm tb it is also carried over from the npi cars.

For those of you guys thinking 78mm bigger is better etc.. "Heavily modified" is a car like CTgreddy, 97 stanger, DWTjr, etc. all of which have Forced induction, cams, LT's, and some suspension to hold the package together....

Im not lookin to gain hp, i just want to be gone with my stocker. Bigger isnt better, the rule applies to injectors also. I would buy a 70new mm if i was buying new. But i know where i can get the 78mm combo for 130. I was asking if you guys think it would be ok to pick up and run since its cheap and good condition? Or no cuz its too big?
