I was also curious where i can get factory blank keys? As you might have already guessed, i have an issue locking my only key in my car so im trying to make sure i have other options than to break into my own car mcgyver style everytime.

have you tried changing the battery in the remote? and if it's actually broken, ebay has them for cheap ($12). You will need to program it to your car, probably just search google and find how to do it

as far as keys, you have to make sure you get the correct resistance key if you want to be able to start the car. If you only want a door key, just copy it onto any regular key and it will unlock the door

and they can still make a copy of the key, doesn't have to be chipped to open the door, if that is all you are after

This. If you want a key that will start the car, you will have to go to a dealer or try a locksmith. As for the keyless entry try your local auto parts store. I think it was Pep Boys where they have a machine that can test your key fob to see if it is operational. You can get the key fobs off E-Bay. Your owners manual will tell you how to program it to the car.

Physically they can make you a key just to open the door, however most places WILL NOT do it due to the $60 price difference.

EDIT: Also, you cannot unlock the doors with the keyfob while it is in the ignition, in fact while the key is in the ignition the key fob is unusable for anything.
