Default Fuel leaking.. HELP

I just picked up a 1998 GT and I filled the tank on the ride home. I noticed that it was leaking at the fill tube, either where it enters the tank or at the body..more than likely where it enters the tank. I know there are not many parts associated in this area, but is it a Rubber o-ring or a tube connection that has gone bad? is this common? thanks

It could be that the fill tube has rusted out--see this thread...

Fuel Filler Gasket. 25.00 dollars online. Just replaced mine out of my 2003 GT
