Engine and tranny swap question

Engine and tranny swap question
So im getting ready to swam my engine and tranny and just had a few questions.
1. can i leave the transmission still mounted to engine at the flywheel and just unmount it from the car and hoist out the engine and tranny in one piece?
2. the car im swapping the engine and tranny into has no engine harness, can i just leave mine connected to the engine and unhook it from the firewall and place it in the firewall of the new car?
3. do you think an amateur could do it or should i seek professional mechanics? also if anyone knows what their doing and lives in my area i'd pay if you'd be willing to help?

Yes, the engine and transmission can be pulled as one unit, quite easily. It's better to disconnect the engine harness before you pull the engine, but it cane be done with it still attached.

I think you are making it hard for folks to help because you're creating new posts every time you have a question regarding your swap. You may want to consider condensing everything into a build thread where all the information is in one place.
JC316, check here for the info you're looking for,

Ok, I need more information. What is the donor car, what is the engine/tranny going in, and where in Texas are you located?

Maybe if he offers to pay you gas expense plus Beer & dinner..... Sounds cheaper than having a shop do it and quicker than him doing it himself
