studs for the engine

Im wondering at what point you would need to install new atuds for the engine. At around 400rwhp would it be necessary to do this?

What are u talking about, studs for what that can be quite a few different things.

Like heads, intake, im assuming transmission, and whatever else. basically, the bolts that hold the motor together. Ive worked on plenty of cars but this is my first build so im talking with different people trying to get as much knowledge as possible. Someone told me about "studding" the motor but ive never heard of it. It makes complete sense but i wanted other opinions.

Main studs and head studs for anything over 500hp. Intake bolts are fine. LOL transmission studs

What part of PA are you in?

maint studs are what torque down the main caps over the main bearings on the crank shaft. If your asking if you have to replace external bolts like tranny bolts, and odd and end bolts on the motor that holt manifolds and accesories, you only change them if their bad or TTY bolts.

Great thanks. That helped a lot
