How many cats is my car supposed to have?
Looked underneath my car this morning and counted two cats. Looks like where theres supposed to be two more the previous owner welded on a straight pipe. That would explain why my check engine light is on. I just wonder why he didnt take off the other two cats.

Also everytime my car is running a strong odor of fuel comes out.

On an '03 you should have a total of 4, two near the manifolds, and two oxidizing cats underneath the seats.

the 96-98s suck. I have three on each side! that's why i'm getting a high flow catted midpipe soon

well actually they had six up to like 01 or something....i got a 99 and mine had three on each pipe. ....not anymore..ahem..
